    • Thomas H. Nolan, Jr.

      Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

      Mr. Nolan joined us in September 2011 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the company. Prior to joining us, Mr. Nolan worked for General Growth Properties, Inc. (GGP) serving as a director for 6 years and as President and Chief Operating Officer for the last 2 years while at GGP. Mr. Nolan was a member of the senior management team that led GGP’s reorganization and emergence from bankruptcy, which included the restructuring of project-level debt, payment in full of all of GGP’s pre-petition creditors and the securing of equity commitments. Prior to his work with GGP, Mr. Nolan served for 4 years as a Principal and Chief Financial Officer of Loreto Bay Company, the developer of the Loreto Bay master planned community in Baja, California. For over 20 years, Mr. Nolan held various financial positions with AEW Capital Management, L.P., a national real estate investment advisor, and he spent the last 6 of those years as Head of Equity Investing and as President and Senior Portfolio Manager of The AEW Partners Funds. Mr. Nolan earned a BA in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.

    • Peter Mavoides

      President and Chief Operating Officer

      Mr. Mavoides joined us in September 2011 and currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of the company. Prior to joining us, Mr. Mavoides worked for over 7 years with Sovereign Investment Company as its President and Chief Executive Officer, a private equity firm that focuses on investment opportunities relating to long-term, net-leased real estate. Mr. Mavoides previously worked with Eastdil Realty, a subsidiary of Wells Fargo Bank, and with Citigroup, where he focused on the structuring of sale-leaseback transactions. Mr. Mavoides earned a BS from the United States Military Academy and a MBA from the University of Michigan.

    • Michael Bender

      Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

      Mr. Bender joined us in October 2007 and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company. Prior to joining us, Mr. Bender spent over 20 years in finance and accounting and held positions as Assistant Corporate Controller for Allied Waste, Inc., Vice President of Global External Reporting for American Express Corporation, Chief Financial Officer for FINOVA Realty Capital and senior manager for an international public accounting firm. Mr. Bender earned a BS in Accounting and MBA from Arizona State University and has been a certified public accountant since 1984.

    • Gregg Seibert

      Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer

      Mr. Seibert joined us at the inception of the company, in September 2003, and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Seibert is responsible for investments and asset level debt financing. Previous roles at Spirit included head of credit and portfolio management. Prior to joining us, Mr. Seibert worked for over 9 years at Franchise Finance Corporation of America (FFCA) and held positions as Vice President and Senior Vice President of Underwriting and Research and Senior Vice President of Acquisitions until FFCA’s acquisition in August 2001 by GE Capital Corporation (GECC), where he served as a Senior Vice President until he joined us. Mr. Seibert previously served as a Vice President in the commercial real estate lending group of Bank of America and as an investment analyst with the Travelers Insurance Company. Mr. Seibert earned a BS in Finance from the University of Missouri and a MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri Graduate School of Business.

    • Mark Manheimer

      Executive Vice President – Asset Management

      Mr. Manheimer joined us in April 2012 and currently serves as Executive Vice President of Asset Management. Mr. Manheimer previously worked for Cole Real Estate Investments, where he served as its Vice President and Head of Retail Sale-Leaseback Acquisitions. Prior to joining Cole Real Estate Investments, Mr. Manheimer was employed by Realty Income Corporation, where he focused on underwriting sale-leaseback transactions. Mr. Manheimer previously worked in the Leveraged Finance Group at First Union Securities (now Wells Fargo Securities), at Patriarch Partners, a private equity firm, and at FTI Consulting, a turnaround consulting firm. Mr. Manheimer earned a BS from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

    • Ryan Berry

      Senior Vice President – General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

      Mr. Berry joined us as Senior Vice President and General Counsel in 2013. Prior to joining us, Mr. Berry was in private legal practice, focusing on corporate governance, securities laws compliance and strategic corporate and finance transactions. Mr. Berry practiced most recently as a shareholder of the law firm of Polsinelli PC and previously as an associate with the law firm of Latham & Watkins, LLP. Mr. Berry earned a BA from Yale University and a JD from the University of Arizona, and is licensed to practice law in Arizona and California.

    • Mary Jensen

      Vice President – Investor Relations

      Ms. Jensen joined us in September 2014 and currently serves as Vice President – Investor Relations for the company. Ms. Jensen provides strategic investor relations solutions for the company and is the principal contact with the investment community and the media. Ms. Jensen has more than 15 years of investor relations experience, primarily in the commercial real estate industry. Prior to joining us, Ms. Jensen worked in private equity for the CIM Group and for several equity REITs – Douglas Emmett, Essex Property Trust and Mack-Cali Realty. Ms. Jensen holds an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University, George L. Graziado School of Business and Management.

    • Joni Barrett

      Vice President – Operations

      Ms. Barrett joined us in March 2004 and currently serves as Vice President – Operations for the company. Ms. Barrett is responsible for corporate governance and compliance and overseeing corporate policies.  She is also responsible for the administrative functions of the company and serves as our Director of Human Resources.  Previously, Ms. Barrett managed our closing and servicing teams.  Ms. Barrett has 29 years of real estate, credit finance and corporate experience and prior to joining us worked as a paralegal specialist at the law firms of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton; Keck, Mahin & Cate; Cooley Godward and Bryan Cave.  Ms. Barrett has also worked in similar capacities with Prudential Realty Group, Wells Fargo Bank and the predecessor company to the Resolution Trust Corporation. Ms. Barrett earned a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.

    • Sean Hufford

      Vice President – Asset Management

      Mr. Hufford joined us in March 2004 and currently serves as Vice President – Asset Management. Mr. Hufford is responsible for special servicing and property management for the portfolio, including workouts, property sales, re-leasing and property management for vacant properties. Prior to joining us, Mr. Hufford served as Director of Financial Planning for SpinCycle, Inc., a publicly-owned consolidator and developer of coin-operated laundries and has held various finance and real estate positions with the Magellan Companies, a privately-held real estate conglomerate. Mr. Hufford earned a BA from the University of Arizona.

    • April Little

      Vice President – Investments

      Ms. Little joined us in May 2007 and has served in various capacities in the company.  Currently she serves as Vice President, Investments and is responsible for sourcing, marketing, analyzing and overseeing the acquisition of new investment real estate opportunities.  Prior to joining Spirit, Ms. Little, held roles in finance and real estate at Sprint Funding Corporation, a privately held mortgage company, Conseco Finance Corporation, a publicly held finance company and Norwest Finance Corp, (now Wells Fargo Finance).  Ms. Little holds a BA in Economics from Southern Illinois University.

    • Jared Morgan

      Vice President – Investments

      Jared Morgan joined us in May 2013 and currently serves as Vice President, Investments and is responsible for sourcing, marketing, analyzing and overseeing the acquisition of new investment real estate opportunities.  Prior to joining Spirit, Mr. Morgan was head of dispositions for Sovereign Investment Company where he oversaw the underwriting and sale of net leased assets.  Mr. Morgan previously served as Operating Partner of Excess Space Retail Services, Inc.  Prior to joining Excess, Mr. Morgan was co-founder and Operating Partner at Wired Environments, an Apollo Real Estate Advisors joint venture.  Mr. Morgan previously worked in the real estate investment banking division of BT Alex. Brown and the real estate valuation services group of Arthur Andersen & Co.  Mr. Morgan holds a BA degree from Colby College.

    • Daniel Rosenberg

      Vice President – Asset Management

      Mr. Rosenberg joined us in November 2007 and currently serves as Vice President of Asset Management. Mr. Rosenberg is responsible for special servicing and property management for the portfolio, including workouts, property sales, re-leasing and property management for vacant properties. Prior to joining us, Mr. Rosenberg served as an Associate at Greenblatt & Associates, a general law practice in Woodland Hills, CA. Mr. Rosenberg earned a BS from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, a J.D. from Whittier Law School, and an MBA from Arizona State University.

    • Jeffrey Koerperick

      Director – Asset Management

      Mr. Koerperick joined us in January 2007 and currently serves as Director of Asset Management where he is responsible for special servicing and property management for the portfolio, including workouts, property sales, re-leasing and property management for vacant properties. Previously, Mr. Koerperick served as an underwriter where he was responsible for evaluating new acquisitions and monitoring the risk of the existing portfolio. Prior to joining us, Mr. Koerperick traded futures contracts in Chicago, IL and worked for The Vanguard Group in Scottsdale, AZ. Mr. Koerperick earned a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Arizona State University.
